Important tips:
1. Head Lamps as they keep your both hands free.
2. Good shoes, rain coats, gloves, winter wear. Expect temp below 0 degree and rain/wind.
3. High energy snacks like calorimate
4. Walk slowly at take rest every 30 or 40 minutes.
5. Highly challenging physical activity. Take proper rest before you start.
6. Plastic bag to carry back our trash as there are no garbage bins on mountain.
7. 5th Station is village in itself, you will find everything. Plan to reach early there, eat food and take rest before we start

if public transportation is decided then there is direct bus to fuji 5th station from shinjuku much convinient as driving back would be hectic , better to make reservation early as august is peak .

Some of us had trouble breathing near summit , drinking pocari was helpful . They also sell oxygen around higher altitude stations.
